CLASSES
Temple of the Phoenix Rose is a teaching coven with formal classes, structure, and levels of initiation. Every seeker is encouraged to look within and evaluate their spiritual path throughout their coursework. Some seekers become students working towards becoming clergy while others are happy and find peace through serving the God and Goddess as dedicated Pagans or Initiates of the coven. Every level of seeker and student is supported in reaching their goals for their individual journey during their affiliation with our spiritual community. This is a place for each individual to explore the depths of who they are in a supportive community; it is you who decides your path.
Classes are offered at all levels but students must enter the coven through the Pagan class. The Pagan class is a 13-week course that will teach you the basics of Wicca. During this time you will be introduced to Wicca, our tradition, the Wheel of the Year, and basic metaphysical
ideas. At the end of the 13 weeks you may choose to take a Pagan dedication, continue classes, or to merrily part ways in search of other opportunities.
Many students ask why they should go through the Pagan class if they have studied Wicca in other traditions or through self study. Our reply is always that the 13 weeks does not only provide concrete knowledge, but it is a time to experience and get to know one another. We want you to have foundational knowledge but also a foundation of
experiences to draw from before you decide to continue classes with us. It is also at this time that students may consider the opportunity to continue their studies before committing to the Coven as a Witch and Initiate.
